The SYCE3 Polyclonal Antibody (PACO62131) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SYCE3, a protein involved in meiotic processes essential for gamete formation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity for SYCE3 in human samples and is validated for use in various applications such as Western blotting. SYCE3 is a critical component of the synaptonemal complex, essential for meiotic chromosome pairing and recombination.
Dysregulation of SYCE3 has been implicated in infertility and reproductive disorders, making it a key target for research in reproductive biology and fertility treatments. By using the SYCE3 antibody, researchers can detect and analyze SYCE3 expression in different cell types, providing insights into meiotic mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies.

IHC image of PACO62131 diluted at 1:300 and staining in paraffin-embedded human testis tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

Background:
Major component of the transverse central element of synaptonemal complexes (SCS), formed between homologous chromosomes during meiotic prophase. Required for chromosome loading of the central element-specific SCS proteins, and for initiating synapsis between homologous chromosomes. Chromosome loading appears to require SYCP1. Required for fertility.
Synonyms:
Synaptonemal complex central element protein 3 (Testis highly expressed gene 2 protein) (THEG-2), SYCE3, C22orf41 THEG2
